Voice stress There has bean very little research to show the accuracy of voice stress analysis. The research that is available shows such a small percentage of accuracy that if you flip a coin you should get a better result For example:

this shows a accuracy result of only 38.7% Whereas the Polygraph Over 250 validity & reliability tests have been performed by the American Polygraph Association (APA) the Department of Defence Polygraph Institute (DoDPI) and others to name a few in the past 75 years. 98% accurate for specific crime issue investigations. Polygraph technique is not infallible but research clearly indicates the polygraph test is one of most accurate means available to establish truth & deception.
